Radicepura Garden Festival is the first international event dedicated to Mediterranean garden design and landscape architecture. It brings together leading landscape designers, artists, architects, emerging talents, researchers, institutions, and businesses.
Held every two years, the Festival takes place over six months in the Radicepura Botanical Park, a unique setting between Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea. Here, Cavaliere Venerando Faro—founder of the renowned Piante Faro nursery—shares his lifelong passion for horticulture across five hectares of land. With over 3,000 plant species and 7,000 varieties, the park is a living archive for innovation and learning. Founded in 2017 and organized by the Radicepura Foundation, the Festival celebrates nature as a force for global growth and creativity. It weaves together culture, art, and sustainability through a rich program of events: from music and botanical exhibitions to art installations and food & wine experiences. Set in a land shaped by ancient traditions and extraordinary biodiversity, the Festival shines a spotlight on Sicily and the Mediterranean as vibrant, fertile grounds for cultural and ecological dialogue. At its heart is the garden—not only as a space of beauty and expression, but as a place to pause, reflect, and connect with the natural world.

The Faro family was born in the shadow of Mount Etna from a seed of passion and love for nature. A seed that sprouted and with time became a lush tree thanks to the care and success received from the community: customers, staff and suppliers that have made the Faro family company what it is today. A company that is growing that continues to set the pace in the world from Sicily with the same care and passion as always.

The Radicepura Foundation was born in 2017 from the enlightened vision of the Faro family in wanting to create a unique place, dedicated to the enhancement and richness of biodiversity, in Sicily, where the Mediterranean embraces the subtropical climate. A unique botanical park of research-oriented Mediterranean plants, which embodies the authenticity of nature and the most innovative technology. It pursues purposes of social solidarity through the protection and enhancement of nature and the environment. The primary purpose of the Foundation is the conservation and enrichment of the various botanical varieties under various profiles (cultural, tourism, environmental, scientific and educational). Another purpose is the study of the environmental adaptability of the species in order to identify the most suitable and innovative cultivation techniques. Finally, the Radicepura Foundation intends to spread art education.

Piante Faro means six hundred hectares of cultivated area, a production of over eight hundred plant species and more than five thousand varieties of Mediterranean and exotic plants, unique, majestic and millenary trees, aromatic herbs, over thirty varieties of citrus and the constant search for rare essences that they are exported to over sixty countries around the world. Eight thousand square meters dedicated to logistics, two thousand square meters of offices and a total area of twenty-six thousand square meters in which the terminals, the business center and vehicle depots are also located. The company’s headquarters are located in Giarre, Sicily, and this is where the roots lie. The branches have instead reached all over the world, leading the company to be a leader in the horticultural sector throughout the Mediterranean and beyond.
