KAMELIA BIN ZAAL
Amity
THE GARDEN

Inspired by the atmosphere and allure of the Arab world, the terrace features plants that symbolize the connection between different cultures: Kentia from Australia, Dasylirion from Central America, Chamaerops humilis from the Mediterranean basin, and Phormium from New Zealand.
Within this lush green setting stands the Amity fountain, designed by landscape architect Kamelia Bin Zaal. The deepest meaning of the word Amity is harmony in the sense of brotherhood. Through its very essence, it represents openness toward others, set within a space that envisions a spirit of conviviality—perhaps utopian—among people, just as the diverse plants coexist harmoniously within the terrace.
