Grand Opening – May 17, 2025
We are thrilled to announce that on Saturday, May 17, the gates of the 5th edition of the Radicepura Garden Festival will officially open — the first international event dedicated to garden design and the Mediterranean landscape. This year, the theme guiding us is “Chaos (and) Order in the Garden”, an extraordinary journey through the contrasts and harmonies of nature.

Program of the day:

  • 10:00 AM – Gates open: Radicepura’s park will be ready to welcome all visitors, offering an immersive experience among installations, signature gardens, and lush nature.
  • 11:00 AM – Official inauguration ceremony with the ribbon cutting: we will officially launch the 5th edition together with the landscape architects, artists, and key figures of this new chapter of the Festival.
    Institutional greetings: Cavalier Venerando Faro, President Fondazione Radicepura Landscape architect Antonio Perazzi, Artistic director Radicepura Garden Festival
    Following guided tour of the gardens.
  • 12:00 PM A postcard from Sicily. a conversation about the garden with Sarah Eberle, landscape designer and Emanuela Rosa-Clot, director of Gardenia
  • 04:00 PM  Chaos (and) order in the Garden, in dialogue with the landscape designers winners of the V edition of the Radicepura Garden Festival Antonio Perazzi, Artistic Director of the festival and Manlio Speciale, scientific consultant and botanist Radicepura.
  • 05:30 PM Opening of the exhibition “Rituals” by Francesco Lauretta.  Francesco Lauretta and Sicily as a painting workshop. Together with the artist Will intervene critics Antonio Grulli and Hili Perlson.
    *Activities in the garden for children from 11:00 to 13:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00

Sunday 18 May

  • 10:00 AM Opening and guided tour of the gardens
  • 11:00 AM New plants for the changing climate. conversation with Manlio Speciale, scientific and botanical consultant, Daniela Romano, professor of Horticulture and Floriculture at the University of Catania and the landscape designers winners of the V edition of the Radicepura Garden Festival.
  • 04:00 PM Guided tour of the gardens
    *Activities in the garden for children from 11:00 to 13:00
